POLL: Which Driver with a new team will be best in 2009?

I have actually had this poll up for a little while now. You can find this pole in sidebar or at our polls archives. This poll will probably be up for another week or so before I put up another one so make sure you get your vote in. Voting on this site is open to everyone at this time.

I figured that it would be a toss up between Tony Stewart and Mark Martin. Currently Tony Stewart has a huge lead on everyone else with 46% of the votes (at least at the time of this post). I am a little surprised that Ryan Newman is currently in 2nd with 25% and then Mark Martin with 21%.

**NOTE – It is possible that the Ryan Newman vote could be slightly skewed do to the fact that I heavily promote this site on my Ryan Newman News And Information site. So I get a lot of traffic to this site from that site.

Oh so now you are figuring that I voted for Ryan Newman. Guess again. I always hate voting against my favorite driver or favorite team. But I thought about it and I figured while I believe Tony Stewart and Ryan Newman will see success, I am not sure they will see as much as their fans are hoping for in 2009. But long term, I think Stewart-HAAS Racing will be a great team.

That being said I voted for Mark Martin. Martin is hungry for a championship and has signed on at Hendrick’s just for that. Well that is the other point. Martin is not only a great veteran driver but now he will be at the top team in the sport. Yes, there are a couple at that top notch but it is Hendrick’s..

I didn’t really expect to see many votes for Joey Logano. He will probably end up being a great driver, but not in 2009. At least I don’t think so.

Same with A.J. Allmendinger.

As for others, I am having trouble thinking of some off the top of my head, but they seemed really remote to me so I did not think it was necessary to put them on the list. And the people that have voted so for would tend to agree I would think since there has only been 1 vote for OTHER.
