I just wanted to use this page to inform people of some the site features here at Racing News Digest. I really don’t even know where to begin.
Create Your Blog
At Racing News Digest you can now create your own blog and become part of our social networking network. Or do just one of those options if you want.
Your Blog
Your blog will have an address like – http://yourblog.racingnewsdigest.com.
Your blog is where you can write about anything that you want. In the near future people that are writing about NASCAR and Racing could have their posts featured on the front page of Racing News Digest. But you can blog about anything you like.
We have over 100 blog templates for your to choose from and most of them can be customized by so that your blog has the feel that you want. Of course if you have problems of concerns you can feel free to contact us.
You can add users to your blog. Upload pictures, allow/deny comments. Create different pages. You can add polls for your readers to participate in. Upload video’s and MP3’s.
ARE YOU BLOGGING SOMEWHERE ELSE? Well there is a good chance that you can import all your old posts into our system.
Social Netorking
Our social networking comes with your blog. You don’t need a blog in order to join the social networking aspect. Similar to Facebook or one of the other platforms you and your friends can post comments on your profile. You can create/join group where specific topics are discussed.
We have it set up so that if you have a YouTube account you can display your videos right on your profile.
Create friends and grow your friends list. You can private message your fiends as well.
Put as much or as little information in your profile as you like.
Afraid of loosing all your old material. Import your current blogs data to your Racing News Digest blog and have no worries. You can import your information here at Racing News Digest with out harming your current blog.
Blogger – Import posts, comments, and users from a Blogger blog.
Blogroll – Import links in OPML format.
Blogware – Import posts from Blogware.
Bunny’s Technorati Tags – Import Bunny’s Technorati Tags into WordPress tags.
Categories and Tags Converter – Convert existing categories to tags or tags to categories, selectively.
DotClear – Import categories, users, posts, comments, and links from a DotClear blog.
GreyMatter – Import users, posts, and comments from a Greymatter blog.
Jerome’s Keywords – Import Jerome’s Keywords into WordPress tags.
LiveJournal – Import posts from a LiveJournal XML export file.

More Racing News Digest Features
MESSAGE BOARDS – Registered users have access to our message boards as well. Come join or start the conversation at our racing message boards.
Race Results – We have THE complete NASCAR race results database. All of your cup races back to 1949, Nationwide to 1982, Truck to 1995. Those 3 series are complete. In addition we have the Camping World East and West race results back to 2007 (hoping this will grow soon) and ARCA race results back to 2000. We have all your race results.
Points Standings – Currently we have the points standings for Cup, Nationwide, Truck and ARCA. The Camping World East and West standings will be coming soon.
Driver Pages – If you have not taken a look at our drivers pages I really encourage you to do so. All the information that you need about that driver is right there. Current year stats along with all time stats. Track performance break down at each track and series that driver has raced at.
Track Page – The same thing goes for our track pages. Get the latest stats at a particular track. Winners, poles, best average finish per starting position. And this includes all the series that we carry.
Car # History – Pick a series then a car # to see how that number has performed over the years, who drove it over the years and who has sponsored it over the years.
NASCAR Stats – I do have a NASCAR Stats section. This is still under development but is functional. I just want to get it broke down more and maybe a little better appearance.
WEBMASTERS
You may be interested in a couple of features that I have recently implemented.
First we have “Web Widgets”. You can place race results or driver specific widgets on your site. You can use our default colors and look or you can completely customize them to blend in with your site. It’s up to you bur I encourage you to take a look.
Second I have started a little section outside of the “public” website. I use this section for my Ryan Newman fan site. Do you do pre-race write ups for your favorite driver or any driver? I have 3 options is this section for you to simply copy and paste a small paragraph out of this page and onto your page. You currently have 3 options to choose from including one that is in a “table” format.
This makes it very easy to quickly add driver stats at a particular track to a blog posting.

What’s next – Well I am really excited about my new section that is going to be called XYZ. You are going to be able to XYZ and then turn around and XYZ with another XYZ.
Yes, I do have another project that I am working on but don’t want to reveal it yet. I am thinking in about 2 weeks it will be done. We will see, I may be wrong.
